Opening a FirePay Account
 How do I open a FirePay account?
|
In order to open a FirePay account, you will need to provide some personal information, such as your name and address, a valid email address, and a password. The sign-up process is quick and easy. Click here to open a FirePay account now. |
 What is a FirePay Access Code?
A FirePay Access Code is a unique code you need in order to activate your FirePay account. Once you've completed your account registration, FirePay will send an email to the email address you supplied while creating your FirePay account. This email will contain your FirePay Access Code.
Note: This process is required only once. |
 Receiving a FirePay Access Code
| Some email providers block certain emails that come from info@firepay.com. Make sure that your email account does not have any filters or spam blockers that would prevent you from receiving emails from info@firepay.com. You may also need to check any "Junk" folders to see if your email was misrouted. |
 Can I have the FirePay Access Code re-sent to me?
| Yes. Sign in to your FirePay account and click the Resend FirePay Access Code button. If you are unable to sign in to your FirePay account, email info@firepay.com. |
 What if I forget my password?
| Click on the Forgot Your Password link on the Sign In page at www.firepay.com. You will then be asked for the answer to your secret question. Once you answer correctly, a new password will be sent to the email address that is registered with your FirePay account. If you no longer have access to that email address or you have forgotten the answer to your secret question, email info@firepay.com. |
 Where can I find my FirePay account number and expiry date?
| Sign in to FirePay at www.firepay.com. Your FirePay account number and expiry date are located on the right side of each page. Your FirePay account number is a 16-digit number that begins with 60155. |
Funding Your FirePay Account
 How do I fund my FirePay account?
| You can fund your FirePay account directly from your bank account or by Visa. In order to fund directly from your bank account, you will need to register a U.S. bank account.

 Are there any funding limits?
Yes. Your initial limit is $250 per week by Visa, $350 per week by Express Funding, or $500 per week once your bank account is validated with FirePay.
Your limit will increase as you establish a successful funding history with FirePay.
For specific limit information for your account, email info@firepay.com.

 Are there any funding fees?
The FirePay funding fee is $1.99 per funding transaction if you have validated your bank account.
The FirePay funding fee is $2.99 per funding transaction for Express Funding.
The FirePay funding fee is $4.99 per funding transaction by Visa.

 What is a validation deposit?
When you register a bank account with FirePay, we automatically send a small, random deposit amount to your bank account. This amount will be less than $2.00.
You must confirm the amount with FirePay in order to prove that you own your bank account.
Note: The validation deposit takes from 1 to 3 business days to appear in your bank account. |
 How do I validate my bank account?
You must access your bank account via online banking or by calling a bank teller and locate this small deposit amount (validation deposit).
Once you have located the validation deposit amount in your bank account, return to www.firepay.com and enter this amount in the Bank Account Validation screen.
Note: The validation deposit takes from 1 to 3 business days to appear in your bank account. |
 Why should I validate my bank account?
| Once you have validated your bank account and become an active user you will enjoy lower funding fees, withdrawals back to your bank account, and higher funding limits. |
 What happens if a funding transaction to my FirePay account is returned by my bank?
Your FirePay account privileges will be suspended until all returned funding transactions have cleared your bank account.
NSF (Insufficient Funds) returns will be automatically reprocessed to your bank account up to two times. Please have funds available in your bank account in order to cover all reprocessed funding transactions.
A service fee of $25 will be charged for each returned funding transaction.

 How will a FirePay transaction appear on my Visa statement?

Each FirePay funding transaction will appear on your Visa statement as "FIREPAY.COM".

 Why was my Visa transaction declined?
Your Visa transaction was declined because your bank reserves the right to refuse transactions based on certain types of merchants.
Fund your FirePay account directly from your bank account by signing in and registering your U.S. bank account.
This option is easier, never declined, more affordable and always 100% instant.

Transferring Funds to and from Merchants
 How can I transfer funds that are in my FirePay account to a merchant?
When paying with FirePay at a merchant's site, FirePay will be listed with all the other payment or card types. All you have to do is select FirePay and enter your FirePay card number and expiry date just as you would for a credit card.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The email address associated to your FirePay account must match the email address on file with the merchant. If not, your transactions will be rejected. |
 Are there any fees to transfer funds to a merchant?
| No. Transfers to merchants are entirely free. |
 How can I transfer funds that are at a merchant back to my FirePay account?
| Simply ask your merchant to transfer the funds to your FirePay account by specifying your FirePay registered email address. |
 How long does it take for a transfer to show up in my FirePay account?
| Once the merchant has processed the transfer, the funds are immediately posted to your FirePay account. An email will automatically be sent to you to confirm the transfer. |
 Are there any fees to transfer funds from the merchant to my FirePay account?
| No. Transfers from the merchant to your FirePay account are free. |
Withdrawing Funds from Your FirePay Account
 How do I withdraw funds from my FirePay account to my bank account?
| Sign in to your FirePay account and click on the Withdraw tab. In order to withdraw funds from your FirePay account to your bank account, your bank account must be validated. |
 How much can I withdraw?
| You can withdraw only funds that have cleared your bank account. When you fund your FirePay account, the amount of the funding transaction will not be available to be withdrawn from your FirePay account balance for a period of 6 business days. |
 Are there any fees?
| There is a $2 withdrawal fee for participating FirePay users with a validated bank account. |
Updating Your Account Information
 How can I change my email address?
| To change your email address, sign in to your FirePay account at www.firepay.com and click on the Edit Account tab. You will then be able to change the email address that is used with your FirePay account.

 How can I change my password?
| To change your password, sign in to your FirePay account at www.firepay.com and click on the Edit Account tab. You will then be able to change your password.

 How can I change my bank account?
| To change your bank account, send an email to info@firepay.com with your request. A customer service agent will unregister your current bank account and allow you to register a new bank account. Please note that each time you change your bank account, you will be required to validate the new account number via a validation deposit.
